Read answers to commonly asked questions and questions that we have received from other parents like you. We have listed them here so we can help you find the answers you are looking for.
You are of course welcome to send us your questions too!
What language are the listings in?
All listings are in English. Some of them are also featured in French, German, or Luxembourgish.
Are there really 1001 things to do in Luxembourg? That can't be...
The 1001 Things Guide contains over a thousand listings (1200+ and counting) neatly arranged in dozens of categories, available at your finger tips in a searchable, super easy to use visual online directory. You should get the guide if you are looking for a quick and easy way to find activities you can do with your family in and around Luxembourg!
Can I search by age?
Yes. You can search by age, category, type, keyword, location, distance from you, and many other ways.
Is it possible to search by more than one category at a time?
Yes. Our advanced search panel allows you to search by multiple ages, categories, types, and keywords at the same time.
Why can I only see a handful of listings?
Because you haven’t logged into your account. Visitors can only see a few listings from each category. Once you join, you can browse, search and explore the thousands of listings in the guide.
Why are there no images on some of the listings?
Images are copyrighted materials. We can’t use someone else’s images without getting a permission from them first. And getting permissions for 1001+ listings is not an easy task. We have been continuously working on adding images to the listings so they will start being more and more.
How can I see all municipal playgrounds?
We have already listed many of them under the Playgrounds category and we are continuously adding more. You can also use this link on whatsonforkids.lu to see a handy map of all municipal playgrounds in Luxembourg.
Why is their a fee for viewing all listings?
The 1001 Things guide is a paid premium product. We charge a small one-time fee in exchange of our continuous efforts that we put into creating and maintaining this great family guide. It is a single one-time fee, not a recurring yearly payment. Once you get access, you enjoy it for as long as you’d like.
Why should I pay for this? There is a ton of info available online.
Yes, you do have alternatives. There are printed family guides that you can buy (they cost around €30 and come out updated once every 5 years or so). There is also the Internet, with ton of information available online, which can give you a good overview of what activities are happening around you. And you can certainly find enough info to keep your family entertained. The thing is that it TAKES TIME. So yes, of course you can do this on your own. After all that’s how we started collected the information — it only took us a couple of years to do so.
Or you can save your time and your money and get the 1001 Things Guide.
Is the fee a one-time payment only?
Yes. We only charge you a small one-time only fee to gain access to the guide.
Can I share my account with other people?
This won’t be fair to us. We have put a great deal of effort into creating this guide, keeping it up to date and making available to everyone who would like to use it. We only ask a small one-time fee in return of our efforts. Sharing your account with others will rob us from the reward we deserve for the work we’ve done.
Our system is also quite smart and it can detect if someone else is using your password to login instead of you and will simply lock you out of your account. So please do not share your password with other people out of respect to our efforts and so you don’t loose your access. The 1001 Things Guide is affordable enough for anyone to sign up and enjoy its benefits without the need to share the same account.
What if I don't like the guide? Can I get my money back?
Our guide comes with a 100% money back guarantee. You can try it for a full 30 days period, 100% risk-free. If you don’t LOVE it, we insist that you get your money back. After the 30 days trial period has ended, it is only fair that we keep the signup fee.
Which payment methods do you accept?
I don't want to give my card details online. Can I still join?
How secure is shopping in your online shop? Is my data protected?
I don't live in Luxembourg, can I still use this?
This guide is intended to help you find things to do in and around Luxembourg. If that’s what you want to do, then this guide is for you. If that’s not the case, then this guide is not for you.
